New online sounds : a remix, a solo improvisation, and some tracks by the Knot.

Just thought I would share audio tidbits with you all.

First of all, John Kameel Farah is playing at the Music Gallery on October 21st as part of the the X-Avant Festival. For this event, he’s released a Free digital EP including remixes by me, Slowpitch (aka ProEF/ Cheldon Patterson), Rose Bolton, Blake Markle and Matthew Ramolo (aka Khôra), alongside two new cuts from Farah’s forthcoming full-length album (due out soon). The set is really quite diverse and intriguing, and definitely worth a listen (if I do say so myself). You can download it here. You can also stream it right here.

On October 6th I played a concert with the Thin Edge New Music Collective at the lovely Placebo Space. That night I decided to improvise in a more slow, patient atmospheric mode which matches the vibe of some of my chamber music. Here is the result from that evening recorded by the Canadian Music Centre‘s keen-eared sound archivisit (and a composer in his own right!) John S. Gray.

My duo project with Tilman Lewis, the Knot is also, as I mentioned, gearing up to do a second release for Italian Label Radical Matters. I thought I’d furnish a bit of preview online. Two tracks are up here, including the one which was featured in Classwar Karaoke‘s recent Survey compilation.
