Updates for I Have Eaten The City: show, new site, free digital EP of new material

I HAVE EATEN THE CITY, my improvisational psych trio with Colin Fisher and Brandon Valdivia (both of Not The Wind, Not The Flag) have a couple little things to share.

First of all we now have our entire catalog of music (thusfar) up on a Bandcamp.  Some of it’s free, some of it’s not…  but check it out…  We’ll likely be making some new music soon too!

Here’s free, a never-before-released EP of sorts, from our performance at the Open Ears Festival in 2007.

Additionally, we have a show coming up.  We seldom play nowadays, but Tad over at Burn Down The Capital always knows how to get us to come out and play.  And we’re doing exactly that, playing alongside Toronto’s Clarinet Panic Deluxx (feat. D’Alex Meeks, Steven Foster, Cory Latkovitch, all of whom play in various awesome bands), and touring project Jack Wright and Evan Lipson at the Tranzac.

Here’s what Tad is saying about the aforementioned duo:

“Outsider free improv saxophonist Jack Wright lands on Torontonian soil for the first time in a long time, this time playing a duo with bassist Evan Lipson (Normal Love, Satanized, etc). Their playing together evokes a languid traverse though the rambling soundscapes of everyday life. Organically gesturing to each other, they play of the squeaks & squeals, building an animalistic dialogue. Jack’s sax playing in much like some sort of rare bird communicating with a squeaky door that keeps hitting a pile of old wood and cutlery. “

Needless to say it should be a fun night…
